Welcome to my personal web site. My professional web site is called practiceofpaul.net.
Officially I am a music theorist, violist and violist who lives in Philadelphia, PA. I also do a lot of other things with the web, graphic design, and photography. In fact, I did all the coding and design that's on this site, with the exception of the RSS aggregator. I am not a professional coder or designer, so the source is pretty embarassing (but it vaidates as xhtml 1.0!) Theoryofpaul has been around since August 2001 and has gone through one major facelift. I hope you enjoy poking around!
Former theoryofpaul
Though it has all but vanished into memory, the old theoryofpaul site was a rather unfortunate Flash exhibition. Although it was kind of cool, it seemed to be permanently unfinished. Hey, it was my first personal web site. In its last weeks, it became increasingly clear that it was not doing it for me. At least the spambots couldn't get at it though.
Here is the special memorial jpg of the old theoryofpaul. It was alive from 1 August 2001 - 3 July 2002. May it rest in peace.
The photo above is a 4x5 polaroid transfer onto 140 lb. watercolor paper.
